Race to Premier League begins

Two zones will begin its search for qualifiers to the Ghana Premier League next season on Saturday in the Division One League promotional play-offs.

The play-offs in Zone One will not go ahead following an unresolved dispute between two clubs.

The Disciplinary Committee's ruling on Bazooka FC's protest against Samba FC for fielding an unqualified player, Prince Kwakye, in their zone 1A match could alter the qualifiers in the zone.

The outcome of the case could affect the chances of Guan United playing in the promotion league.

Guan United is owned by former GFA President Lepowura Alhaji M.N.D Jawula.

On the pitch at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape-Coast, much-fancied Nania FC face Tema Youth who are aiming for a top flight return at a canter.

Tudu Mighty Jets will engage Pure Joy FC at the Essipong Stadium, all in zone 3.

In zone 2, Ebusua Dwarfs play West Ham at the Tema Park and in Accra, Mine Stars face Medeama FC.
