03:20- We are 10 minutes away from kickoff at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

One minute of silence is being observed in honour of former Black Stars midfielder Abubakar Yakubu.

01'- KICKOFF! It's Ghana vs Egypt.

03'-Ghana are keeping possession nicely in the early minutes of proceedings.

04'- After three minutes Egypt have gotten hold of the ball but they cheaply lose possession to the Ghanaians.

05'-A chance for Egypt as Shikabala plays in a through ball to Ramadan Sohbi but goalkeeper Richard Ofori was quick off his line to grab the ball.

09'- Raphael Dwamena has been flagged for offside

10'- Sloppy play by Daniel Amartey as Shikabala dispossesses him off the ball but the final ball by Sobhi flies over the bar.

13'-Great play by Ghana as they intricately pass the ball amongst themselves and Wakaso's finishes the move with trademark long range strike, which went straight into the waiting arms of goalkeeper Ekramy.

18'-Freekick for Egpyt as Amartey barges into Amr Marie.

20'- A chance for Ghana as Opoku Ampomah's through ball found Dwamena inside Egypt box against goalkeeper Ekramy but he toe poked the ball wide. Ghana are protesting for a penalty.

22'- Ghana are in cruise control at this moment with some delightful passing play but anytime Egpyt get the ball they counter attack with pace and power.

24'- Infringement in favour of the Pharaohs as Agbenyenu impedes Gabr.

28'- Egypt's Amr Marie is lying on the deck with a suspected injury. He's been carried off the field for further medical attention.

32'- SUBSTITUTION for Egypt as Morsey could return to the pitch. Sabin Ali comes on in place of the injured player.

34'- Ghana are moving the ball neatly but could not find the final pass to unlock the Egypt defence.

36'- At this point in time it's been all Ghana but they are finding it difficult to create a clear cut chance. Egypt coach Hector Cuper will be delight with his defensive set-up. Meanwhile, Nana Opoku Ampomah is wailing on the playing field.

39'-SUBSTITUTION for Ghana as Nana Opoku Ampomah fails to recover from the knock. He has been replaced by Patrick Twumasi.

42'- Great save by Richard Ofori as he parries Shikabala's fierce into corner. Harrison Afful was out-muscled by Ramadan Sobhi on the right hand side of the half way line, and Sobhi played in a through ball to Shikabala but Ofori was up to the task.

44'- Poor finishing by Dwamena, who failed to beat Ekramy from a one v one situation. Kudos the Nadi Al Ahly goalkeeper who closed the angle on the Ghanaian striker.

45+2'- Referees blows his whistle for half time. Ghana 0-0 Egypt.

Brilliant exchanges from a devastating half. Ghana's coach Kwesi Appiah will be happy with the display of his new team as they controlled possession with confidence and intelligently but more work needs to done on the attacking front before they can once again become a fearsome side in world football.

Hector Cuper on the other hand, wouldn't worry about his side's play in the first half as they held their own in the absence of the talismanic Mohammed Salah. They defended with grit and attacked with an hand break. It shows a mark of a good side, who know how to grind results even when not playing well.

We will back shortly with more action in the second half. Stay tuned.

Welcome back for the second half.

47'- A chance for Egypt as Sobhi beautifully struck an out foot shot but Ofori was equal to the task.

48'- SUBSTITUTION for Ghana as Majeed Waris replaces Godfred Donsah.

52'- A nice cross from Wakaso but Emohammady dealt well with the ball.

53'- Ouch! Ghana nearly opened the scoring from a deflected shot but the ball could only find the top of the net.

55'- Great cut back pass from Agbenyenu but Dwamena's low deft touch goes just off target.

57'- Egypt are yet to come to the party in the second half as the game has been all Ghana. And the Black Stars are creating some decent opportunities which they have to take advantage of before the Pharaohs find their rhythm.

62'- GOOOOOOOOAL! Egypt have taken the lead. Mahmoud 'Shikabala' fires the Pharaohs in front from a close against the round of play.

64'-GOOOOOOOOAL! Edwin Gyasi pulls parity for Ghana via a wicked deflection.

67'- Ghana are exchanging passes at the final third of the pitch but are unable to find the last pass to their attackers. Still Ghana 1-1 Egypt.

72'- Great pull back pass from Harrison Afful but the ball finds no Ghanaian player in the box.

75'- SUBSTITUTION for Ghana as Boakye Yiadom comes on Raphael Dwamena

77'- SUBSTITUTION for Egypt as Tarik Ahmed replaces Amr Marie.

79'- Infringement in favour of Ghana as new boy Tarik Ahmed commits a reckless foul on Wakaso.

80'- Ghana are probing for the lead but Twumasi's thumping header goes way off the bar.

82'-Egypt are struggling to cope with the pressure of their Ghanaian counterparts. Twumasi heads the ball again but this time it goes into the waiting arms of the cool-headed Sherif Ekramy.

85'- The referee issues the first yellow card of the game to Mubarak Wakaso. The Deportivo Alves midfielder clumsily tucks the shirt of Sohbi.

87'-Goalkeeper Ekramy is being attended to by the medical team as he lies on the deck with a suspected cramp.

90'-Referee whistles for an infringement against Wakaso.

90+2- What a chance! Ghana nearly scored at the death as Richmond Boakye Yiadom's shot was spilled by goalkeeper Ekramy.

It's all over at the Cape Coast Stadium...it ended Ghana 1-1 Egypt.
