Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah has been returned to his Italian Serie A side AC Milan, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Reggina have decided to return the former world youth best player to his club, six months early.

AC Milan loaned out Adiyiah to Reggina on a one-year deal in August.

But after failing to hold down a regular position, Reggina have decided to send the Ghanaian back to his owners.

Adiyiah scored just one goal and set up another in his two starts for the Italian Serie B side as he was not given lots of playing time.

Adiyiah joined AC Milan in the January transfer window after a deal was brokered by the Italian club's vice-president Adriano Galliani.

The 21-year-old helped his country to triumph at the Under-20 World Cup in Egypt, finishing as top scorer last year

Adiyiah fired home eight goals in seven games and was given the Golden Ball award for the best player at the Under-20 World Cup.
