Reims end interest in Ghana midfielder Jordan Ayew

French second division side Reims are no longer interested in signing Ghanaian youngster Jordan Ayew on loan this month.

Ayew, the son of legend Abedi Pele, has played a bit-part role in Marseille’s impressive outing so far this season.

With many experienced player in the squad, his playing opportunities are limited which prompted club president Anigo to propose a loan deal for the Ghanaian.

Even coach Didier Deschamps was reluctant to release the youngster, Reims proposed to Ayew to help them avoid relegation.

But after discovering that the Ghanaian will be away for one month playing at the Africa Youth Championship in Libya later this year, they have opted to pursue the loan deal.

Despite Reims’ reluctance in slapping in their bid for Ayew, Boulogne another second division side are said to be interested.
