Samuel Inkoom pulls out of Ghana squad due to injury

Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has been forced to withdraw from the squad preparing for Friday’s 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo.

The 21-year-old picked up the problem during a five-aside training match at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium on Monday.

He limped off and could not continue the practice.

“He had a muscle tear in his left thigh which he sustained yesterday in training. A scan today confirmed our suspicion however, he’s started treatment,” Maj. (Dr) Percy Annan told the Ghana FA official website.
