Kotoko reserve team coach Sarfo Castro will be named as the assistant in their Premier League opener against Tema Youth, GHANAsoccernet.com has learnt.

Head coach Maxwell Konadu has settled on Castro as his number two man after he was given the mandate to head-hunt for his assistant.

Castro was in charge when the ex-All Star boss was on international duty with the country’s Olympic team and sat on the bench during Kotoko's first leg game against Hearts in the Super Cup.

GHANAsoccernet sources have revealed coach Konadu has kept faith with Castro and will officially name him as his assistant this week.

Kotoko battle Tem Youth at Tema in their first Premier League meeting on Sunday.
