Serbian coach Goran Stevanovic has arrived in Ghana to negotiate terms of contract as the boss of the country’s national team, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 44-year-old will hold talks with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Monday over a proposed two-year contract as the Black Stars coach.

Both parties will reach a consensus over his monthly salary before the Serebian is formally unveiled as the Ghana coach.

The former Partizan Belgrade coach impressed the GFA interviewing panel last month after he was shortlisted for the post.

Others who had been in the frame for the job are Portuguese coach Humberto Coelho and Herbert Addo from Ghana .

But the Serbian was chosen by the panel after he spelt out his comprehensive plans for the four-time African champions.

If he reaches an agreement with the GFA, Stevanovic will take over from his compatriot Milovan Rajevac who resigned after taking Ghana to the brink of a semi-final place at last year's world cup in South Africa .

His first competitive game in charge will be a trip to Brazzaville to play Congo in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations Cup qualifier if a deal is reached.
