The Public Relations Officer of the MOYS Elvis Adjei-Baah has disclosed to Ghanasoccernet.com that his outfit is considering securing official accommodation for other national team coaches and not only for the Black Stars coach as many reports claim.

He explained that the idea of saving the country from spending millions in hiring hotels for the Black Stars coaches was hatched under this new administration and there are plans of expanding it to other national team coaches who have proper and legitimate contracts with the state.

"This is a brainchild of Hon. Isaac Asiamah and we hope to get similar official residences for the other national team coaches who have proper and legitimate contracts with the GFA and by extension the Sports Ministry," he told Ghanasoccernet.com

The Ministry of Youth and Sports saved the country millions of cedis which was splashed on hotels for coaches of the Black Stars after securing a permanent accommodation to house them.

Black Stars coaches will no longer stay in hotels anymore following the Isaac Asiamah-led ministry's initiative to find a lasting solution to the unending trouble.

The MOYS has secured an official residence for Black Stars coaches at Airport Residential Area with the help of Ministry of Works and Housing.

Coach Kwasi Appiah will be the first to occupy it and has already inspected the facility which he is satisfied with.

The move by the MOYS to secure an official accommodation for the Black Stars coaches could save the country close to GHC17.5 million as reported to have been the total cost of housing former Ghana coach Avram Grant in his 2-year stint with the national team.

This will come as a massive relief to the Ghana Football Association who have been accused on numerous occasions for spending unwisely on the hotel bills of the senior national team coach.

The step taken by Hon. Isaac Asiamah means that the era of spending huge monies on hotels is over with the new dawn also expected to stomach other national team coaches.
