Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari scored the opening goal for Serie A giants AC Milan who posted a comfortable 2-0 win over Chievo Verona on Saturday night.

Milan needed some inspiration after their not too good show in their recent Serie A games and it took a magical strike from Muntari on the Eid Mubarak day to inspire them to the win.

The 30-year-old Ghana international timed his run and sent a cracking volley to the top right corner, leaving the Chievo keeper completely beaten.

AC Milan returned to winning ways after picking up just two points in their last three games with Sulley Muntari and Keisuke Honda on target in a resounding win at the San Siro.

Muntari marked his 250th Serie A appearance with his 26th goal early in the second half with Honda adding a second with just over 10 minutes remaining.

The win has lifted the Rossoneri up into a share of fifth with Sampdoria and Hellas Verona, ahead of the rest of the weekend's games on Sunday.
