Swansea City forward Andre Ayew anticipates 'difficult' Manchester City clash

Swansea City forward Andre Ayew is relishing a stern clash against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

The Welsh-based side, who are sitting four points above the relegation zone, will travel to the Manchester City Stadium with the hope of picking a result against the flamboyant Pep Guardiola's side.

Despite the Citizens being crowned the league champions last week, Carlos Carvalhal's outfit will go into the game as underdogs following their appalling record at the Etihad Stadium, where they are yet to claim a league point since joining the elite division in 2011.

However, Ayew reckons being the bookies underwhelming favourites could work to the advantage of his side as they look to pull off one of the shocks of the season.

“It’s going to be a very difficult game,” he said. “They’re the champions and deservedly so, they’ve been the best team this year by a mile."

“But they’re just like any other team – nothing is impossible. We need to prepare, listen to Carlos’ plans and try to apply them in the game."

“We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.”
