Tagoe says Turkish move will bring more playing time

Ghana striker Prince Tagoe says his move to Turkish side Bursaspor will give him more playing time to continue to develop.

The 24-year-old left Germany's Hoffenheim to sign a three-year deal with Bursaspor on Wednesday night.

Hoffenheim general manager Ernst Tanner said Tagoe gained plenty of experience at the club and he thanked the 24-year-old for his commitment.

The Ghanaian player spent six months on loan with Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade last season where he scored 16 goals, helping them to win the league and FA Cup.

Tagoe insists he wants more playing time similar to what he had in Serbia.

"My only motivation for the move to Turkey is to play regular football," Tagoe told BBC Sport.

"I spent the last season on loan at Partizan Belgrade and everyone saw my potential and quality.

"But sitting on the bench at Hoffenheim was unacceptable for me and I had to make a decision to advance my career.

"That is why I took the move to Turkey - and I hope I can realise my potential there and take my club to better places."

Tagoe scored a handful of goals in 22 appearances for Hoffenheim, but proved far more clinical while with Serbian side Partizan.
