Takyi's brace pushes St Pauli close to Bundesliga

Ghanaian-born midfielder Charles Takyi hit a double for FC St. Pauli to inch close to a Bundesliga return, with a resounding 6-1 victory over  TuS Koblenz on Friday night.

Takyi put St. Pauli ahead on 42 minutes with his sixth goal of the season, before Deniz Naki doubled their lead on 44 minutes to give his side some real comfort as the half-time break came.

There was worse to come for TuS Koblenz in the first part of the second half, as a second three minute blast all but made the win certain for the home side.

Takyi grabbed his second goal of the game on 57 minutes to make it 3-0, before Marius Ebbers made it four just two minutes later, as the Millerntor faithful celebrated.

Pauli added a fifth on 69 minutes, as substitute Rouwen Hennings further compounded the misery for Petrik Sander's team, before Lehmann made up for his missed penalty in the first half successfully converting from a second penalty on 74 minutes.

Koblenz pulled one back from Marvin Pourie to make it 6-1.  .

St. Pauli, in second, are four points behind leaders Kaiserslautern with two matches to end the season.
