Spain:

Quincy Owusu-Abeyie was used as an 84th minute substitute as his bottom-placed Malaga won 2-0 to further deepen the woes of Real Sociedad.

Sociedad's Jeffery Sarpong was introduced on 63 minutes.

Wakaso Mubarak played the last 31 minutes for Villarreal which were held to a one-all draw by nine-man Sporting Gijon.

Centre-back Jonathan Mensah did not make the trip with Granada FC which earned a point in a 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano due to suspension.

Former Sekondi Hasaacas player Joseph Ato Bissah played the entire second half for Atletico B in their 3-4 defeat to Real Madrid's Castilla.

Italy:

Udinese continued their ascension to the league summit after hammering Cagliari 4-0 at their own backyard.

Midfield talisman Kwadwo Asamoah was instrumental in the win but Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu missed out of the first team.

Afriyie Acquah sat on the bench for Palermo which succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at Genoa.

There was no first selection for Black Satellites striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom in the Genoa team.

Both Daniel Kofi Agyei and Salifu Amidu remained with Fiorentina's Primavera squad as the first team beat Chievo Verona 1-0.

Kevin-Prince Boateng was rested to attain full fitness in AC Milan's one-all draw with Bari at home.

Esmond Sackey's 56th solitary strike ensured victory for Correggese over Crevalcore in the Italian lower tier.

Germany:

St.Pauli slipped into the relegation zone after losing 1-2 to Stuttgart at home, their fourth defeat in a row.

Charles Takyi was booked on the 31st minute and replaced after 73 minutes.

Marcel Appiah was at the heart of defence for Bochum in their 0-3 home loss to 1860 Munich.

Holland:

Matthew Amoah played the full regulation time for NAC Breda but was unable to find the back of the net when Feyenoord beat them 2-1.

Eric Addo was an unused sub for Roda JC in their home defeat to AZ Alkmaar.

Greece:

Bernard Yao Kumordzi lasted 73 minutes for Panionios which drew 3-3 with Larissa.

Portugal:

Left-back David Addy featured 90 minutes for Academica de Coimbra which snatched a point at Nacional.

Scotland:

Dundee United twice came from behind to keep their Scottish Cup defence alive.

Box-to-box midfielder Prince Buaben played full throttle for Dundee United in the 2-2 drawn game with Motherwell.

Denmark:

Defender Issah Ahmed came in on the 46th minute in Randers FC's 3-1 away win over Esbjerg.

St. Pauli loanee Davidson Drobo-Ampem was not involved in action for Esbjerg.

Israel:

Duo Abdul Basit and Abdul Razak Ibrahim warmed the bench for Hapoel Beer Sheva which won 4-3 away to Hapoel Ashkelon.

There was no first team place for either Eric Gawu or Stephen Ahorlu.

Striker Samuel Yeboah was in full flight for Beitar Jerusalem but could not score as they drew goalless with Hapoel Ramat Gan Asi.

Awudu Samad was a second half substitute for Hapoel Ramat Gan Asi.
