Striker Mahatma Otoo has insisted Hearts of Oak are still in with a fighting chance of winning the Premier League title but feels they must claim maximum points from their remaining six matches.
The title race appear over after their arch-rivals Asante Kotoko posted a 2-1 win over them in the Ghanaian derby last weekend as the Kumasi-based opened à a staggering 13-points lead at the top of the table.
Kotoko faces a tricky test at the Accra Sports stadium against Mighty Jets and the 20-year-old believes defeat for their sworn-rivals will fuel their belief that they could become champions again.
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s not over until the rest of the matches are played. We played a determined game against them (Kotoko) but unfortunately we lost,â⬠Otoo said.
ââ¬ÅWe just have to win all our games and hope they slip somewhere. I know itââ¬â¢s going to be difficult to catch up with them but there is still more to play for and so weââ¬â¢ll see how it goes.
Hearts will play Ebusua Dwarfs 24-hours after Kotoko engage Jets at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
