Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Kevin De Bruyne to Real Madrid

There was a sense of inevitability to this rumour. The Belgian playmaker, who has produced the form of his career to help lift Manchester City eight points clear in the Premier League, is wanted by Madrid, according to Don Balon. Real president Florentino Perez has been impressed with the 26-year-old's form and is considering a sizeable bid to lure him to the Bernabeu. City are under no pressure to sell, however, and will likely value De Bruyne at more than £80 million, considering his displays so far this season.

Marco Asensio to Chelsea

Asensio has reportedly told Real Madrid he is prepared to leave if he does not get more game time. The 21-year-old exploded on to the scene earlier this season with a couple of spectacular goals but has found a place in the starting lineup difficult to come by under Zinedine Zidane. With Asensio reportedly growing disgruntled at a lack of opportunities, the Spaniard has emerged as a Chelsea target. Paris Saint-Germain have also been mentioned as suitors.

Ben Woodburn to Sunderland

New Sunderland manager Chris Coleman has set his sights on Liverpool youngster Woodburn as he tries to transform the Black Cats' fortunes. Coleman was announced as Simon Grayson's successor this week and according to the Sunderland Echo, the 47-year-old coach is eager to bring in Woodburn, 18, on loan in January to help boost their survival chances in the Championship. Coleman gave Woodburn his Wales debut and is prepared to offer the teenager regular first-team football, which may be attractive considering the youngster has featured mostly for the Reds' youth sides this season.

Yusuf Yazici to Arsenal

The Gunners are willing to spend £14m to sign the highly rated Trabzonspor starlet. Yazici, 20, has caught the eye with his performances in Turkey over the past year and has been previously reported as a Manchester United and Liverpool target. With clubs from around Europe keeping close tabs on the attacking midfielder, he has been touted as a potential replacement for Mesut Ozil -- himself subject of Manchester United interest. The Gunners playmaker is tipped to leave Arsenal either in January or next summer, so the club appear to be making plans for life post-Ozil.

Mesut Ozil to Schalke

One possible destination for Ozil could be Schalke, however, with the ambitious Bundesliga side harbouring hopes of a reunion with their former player. According to Kicker, the Gelsenkirchen-based club have begun plans to lure Ozil back, nine years after he left to join Werder Bremen. However, they are likely to face stiff competition in the form of Barcelona, while Manchester United have also been mentioned as possible suitors. Ozil was born in Gelsenkirchen and considering he began his professional career there, chairman Clemens Toennies has said a return "Would be a nice story."
