Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Boateng is happy to have hit the back of the net on his injury for UD Levante in their 1-0 win over Malaga in the Spanish LaLiga on Thursday.

The 21-year-old suffered was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after a nasty collision with Jonas Ramalho during UD Levante's 1-1 draw with Girona last month.

Tests later revealed the former Ghana youth forward had suffered a fracture of the left Zygomatic arch before undergoing a successful surgery to repair the damage.

The ex-Moreirense hitman was ruled out of action for up to a month but made a remarkable return to training last week.

Boateng netted the goal on the 90th minute mark to grab the points for the home side after connecting home from close range after Saša Lukić sent in a cross from the left.

"We played well and won, I am very happy to score the goal. Although we have won in the last seconds, this is football,'' Boateng told beIN Sports.

''We won against Málaga and now we have to think about the next matches. We always think about attacking.

Three points that bring permanence closer? I am very happy to convert the goal and now we are all happy."

The win effectively relegated Malaga to the Segunda division with fives games to spare.
