Ukrainian Premier League side Zorya say they will on Monday appeal the red-card given to Ghanaian defender Daniel Addo in Saturday's draw with Illychivets.

The ex-King Faisal central defender was sent off from the pitch in the 76 minutes of the tense 1-1 draw at the Stadion Illychivets stadium for a second-yellow card offence.

Officials of the Ukrainian side have expressed their displeasure at the decision of referee Lysenchuk and will launch an official appeal on Monday.

"The managers of the club were not happy with what the referee did and so have told me they will appeal today (Monday)," Addo said.

"I don't know what I did to the referee but he was on my case during the entire duration of the game. He kept cautioning me unnecessary and I suspected he had something up his sleeves."

Zorya lie at a parlous 11th position on the league table with 11 points from 10 games.
