Ghana coach, Kwesi Appiah, is looking forward to the Black Stars' opening 2014 World Cup match against the USA in two weeks' time.
Ghana has never lost to the Yanks, beating them four times since 1983 by a combined score of 10-2, including a victory in each of the past two World Cups.
"America has got a very good team," Appiah told the Ghana Football Association.
"The coach is doing well and he has brought some new players in and looking at the game that they've played recently, there's no way anyone can underrate them."
"I believe that they are one of the best teams in the tournament. It's not going to be easy, but we will do well to give them a good game."
With their first indigenous coach at the helm, Ghana will compete in Group G against Portugal, Germany and the United States.
In South Africa in 2010, Appiah led Ghana to the quarter finals, where they lost to Uruguay on penalty kicks after a Luis Suarez handball kept Ghana from going ahead in the dying minutes of extra time.
