2014 World Cup: Ghana opponents USA record another warm up win over Turkey
USA secured 2-1 win over Turkey

Ghana’s 2014 World Cup opponents USA secured a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Turkey in an international friendly played in New Jersey on Sunday evening.

Fabian Johnson put the American in front after 26 minutes before captain Clint Dempsey – who has recovered from a groin injury – doubled the lead seven minutes into the second half.

Turkey pulled one back – a mere consolation – from a spot kick expertly taken by Selcuk Inan.

The win ensures the Jurgen Klinsmann’s team continued with their winning ways in their preparations towards the 2014 World Cup after posting a 2-0 win over Azerbaijan last Wednesday.

The Americans will play Nigeria in their final warm up match on June 7 before travelling to Brazil where they will be opening their World Cup campaign against Ghana in Natal on June 16.
