2019/20 Ghana Premier League: Legon Cities, Great Olympics to settle ‘Twitter war’ on Friday

Ghana Premier League sides Great Olympics and Legon Cities have been throwing shades at each other on Twitter ahead of their clash on match day 10 of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League which comes off on Friday, February 14, 2020.

Earlier this season Olympics started with the trolling on social media with a  statement “ All that glitters is not gold” after Legon Cities defeat to Asante Kotoko in match day two of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League game.

Legon Cities responded, “The gate proceedings today from our game can actually rebrand your team and buy you a new team bus. We will meet you soon”

This has sparked interest and talks on social media generating more attention to the Ghana Premier League.

The two teams have been struggling this season with Olympic placed 13th on the league log and Legon Cities 15th on the league log with the same points.

Speaking ahead of the game Legon Cities coach Goran said "We will prepare to win the next game. No coach prepares to lose a game. We will give our 100% performance against the next opponent. We will go all out."

"My team is much fitter than the beginning of the season. We are always giving our best to improve. We will get there with time."

The two Accra based teams will get to settle their differences on the pitch as well as who wins the bragging rights will be determined after regulation time.

The two teams will meet on February 15 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
