Asante Kotoko will be confident of a third straight victory on Sunday when they face off against Liberty Professionals in week 7 of the ongoing 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

The match which will take place at Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi is not open to fans as Kotoko serve a three-match ban for hooliganism.

The Porcupine Warriors are coming into this match on the back of a hard-fought win in the Super Clash against Hearts of Oak. The win in Accra was their second in succession and they will be seeking a third this weekend.

It's impressive how Kotoko have recovered from their shock slump. After two wins in their opening two games, Kotoko were beaten in their third and fourth games.

They ended their poor run against Ebusua Dwarfs and maintained the winning run against the Phobians last Sunday.

Maxwell Konadu will charge his boys not to let their guard down against Scientific Soccer Lads.

The Dansoman-based club also have every right to feel confident of causing an upset after a masterclass performance saw them overcome WAFA at the dreaded Sogakope park.  It was only their second win of the season. All two wins have come on the road.

A win for fourth-placed Kotoko will see them possibly go top of the table as they are just two points behind first-placed Berekum Chelsea, who have 14 points.

For Liberty, who have 9 points, a win will see them close in on the top-four spot.

The two have met each other 23 times since 2006. Kotoko have the advantage with 13 wins while Liberty have won five with five ending draws.

The last time they face off in Kumasi was 2017 and Kotoko won 2-1.
