Inter Allies FC shared the spoils with city rivals Legon Cities FC on Saturday at the Accra sports stadium.

The Capelli failed to make it three wins on the trot as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Cities.

Both teams scored from the spot to a pick a point each.

Inter Allies playing as the hosts made no changes to the squad that beat Eleven Wonders FC 3-0 at away in midweek.

The visitors, Legon Cities had only one alteration to their squad with Maxwell Oppong coming in for the injured Ahmed Rahman.

The hosts got their noses in front in the early stages of the game as Victorien Adebayor netted his 8th goal of the season from the spot in the 15th minute.

Inter Allies could have finished the first half with at least a two-goal advantage but wasted the scoring opportunities that came their way.

Adebayor came close to getting his second of the afternoon but he blasted a begging chance over the crossbar early in the second half.

Cities got their equaliser in the 70th minute after Abdul Karim Jabila fired from the spot after Cephas Doku was brought down inside the box by goalkeeper Gideon Ahenkorah.

Inter Allies move up to places to the 9th position on the league table whereas Legon Cities remain at the 13th position.
