Head coach of the Black Stars B Maxwell Konadu says it is difficult when informing players they have been dropped prior to the start of a tournament especially the Africa Cup of Nations.

Maxwell Konadu has had the experience of being on the sidelines of the Black Stars in three AFCON tournaments.

According to him selecting players for the tournament as well as communicating to those not selected for the main tournament is extremely difficult.

The former Asante Kotoko gaffer also explained that the coaches look at certain qualities before they name their final squad.

"In selecting the final squad for a tournament,we look at the players character, experience, team play, contributions and his influence in the team ahead of the tournament"
