2019 Cup of Nations: Ex-Ghana star Baba Armando heaps blessings upon Black Stars ahead of AFCON

Former Ghana international Baba Adamu Armando has cast blessings upon the Black Stars ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The four-time champions are seeking to end their 37-year wait for continental success, having won their last title in 1982.

Kwesi Appiah's side have come close to ending their drought at the last six tournaments, having reached the semi-finals, and even going as far as the final in 2010 and 2015.

According to Armando, who on Sunday visited the team’s camping base in Dubai, he is upbeat about their chances of returning home with the coveted trophy.

“God always bless people in difficult times. This is difficult time but this is also the time the cup will come to Ghana. I “Armando,” I can bet my heart on it.” Armando told footballmadeinghana.com

“After 2006, and the trauma I went through this is the first time I have visited the Black Stars camp and I went there with pure heart to give the team my blessing. The team will bring the cup to Ghana. My blessings will not go waste. I am talking from deep-down my heart”

Armando currently works as the Director of Football for one of the lower-tier teams in Dubai.
