Ghana legend Abedi Pele has had his footprints on the prestigious Monte Carlo Promenade of the Golden Foot Awards.

The three-time Africa Player of Year clinched one of the three awards for legends at the 2011 ceremony held in Monaco, France in October.

"The Champions Promenade", a sort of "Walk of Fame" of the international football on the seafront of the Principality of Monaco dedicated to the greatest players in the history of football and to their footprints.

It means to be among the best players ever, and the selection of the players will be made just by the ones who have followed the games and the careers of the players

Pele had his footprints alongside 2011 awarded players like Luis Figo (Portugal), Ruud Gullit (Holland), Rabah Madjer (Algeria), Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti and the winner Ryan Giggs (Wales).

Now they are 50, with all the football greats awarded with Golden Foot, representing 21 nations.
