Kuala Lumpur: FC Seoul striker Adriano has been named the Toyota Player of the Week for last week’s Matchday One of the 2016 AFC Champions League after he netted four goals and provided an assist as the K-League Classic side beat Buriram United 6-0 in Thailand.

On a high-scoring opening week, Adriano set 2013 runners-up FC Seoul on their way after 28 minutes of the Group F opener before adding a second five minutes before half-time.

The Brazilian (pictured wearing 11) completed his hat-trick five minutes into the second half, and after captain Suchao Nutnum was sent-off for the home side, Adriano added a fourth on the hour mark.

And Adriano then provided the assist for returning Montenegro striker Dejan Damjanovic to score his 20th AFC Champions League goal to attract a rating of 9.7 after also posting a 100% pass completion rate from nine passes attempted.

Adriano's display edged Tractorsazi Tabriz’s Bakhtiar Rahmani into second place after the midfielder scored twice as the Iranian outfit recorded a 4-0 win over Al Jazira of the United Arab Emirates.

Rahmani also completed 23 of 33 passes attempted to attract a rating of 8.8, having also won two duels.

FC Seoul’s win, meanwhile, saw Adriano’s team-mates Lee Seok-hyun and Damjanovic finish tied for third at 8.2 following their performances in the victory at Buriram Stadium.

After Damjanovic netted FC Seoul’s fifth seven minutes after the hour mark, a fine backheel assist from Park Chu-young allowed fellow substitute Lee Seok-hyun to seal the win in the last minute.

And that saw the pair edge out Bunyodkor’s Dostonbek Khamdamov, after the midfielder scored twice in his side’s 3-3 draw with Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr to attract a rating of 8.1 after also completing 10 of 18 passes.
