Aduana back Herbert Addo to prove mettle in Caf Champions League

Ghanaian champions Aduana Stars have charged their under-fire coach Herbet Addo to silence his critics by qualifying the side to the next phase of the Caf Champions League.

Addo returns home from the Sudan debacle with the local Black Stars on Tuesday ahead of the return leg against Wydad Casablanca of Morocco.

Aduana must create a piece of history by overturning a 0-3 first leg deficit to advance.

''In football a lot of things happen and we as a club are solidly behind Herbet Addo and when he arrives we’re going to talk to him and let him understand that he’s a good coach and should not allow the unfortunate incident at Sudan to affect him,'' Aduana Stars operations manager George Jehu told Oman FM

''We believe in him and technical ingenuity and I’m positive he’ll show it when he guides the side against WAC in the return leg in Ghana.''
