Aduana Stars chief George Gyawu insists FIFA/CAF Liaison team offered LIP SERVICE support in Confederation Cup

Aduana Stars operations manager George Gyawu has launched a blistering attack on the FIFA/CAF Liaison team, claiming they offered NO support to the club during their 2018 CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

The outspoken football administrator further revealed the club rather spent money on the two-man liaison during their visits to Dorma over the period, fueling their cars in the process.

Gyawu insists the liaison team only offered support on paper and did absolutely nothing to aid their campaign.

The Liaison team had claimed it will offer some financial support to the Ghana Premier League champions - a claim which is being contested after the club exited Africa's inter club competition.

"Let me say that the liaison team did not give us any support. Indeed we fueled their cars when they came to Dorma to watch our games," he said

"Those claims that they supported us are complete imagination of some people.

"We ended up spending on the members of the committee rather."

The Fire Club exited the competition after losing 6-0 at Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.
