African football gurus converge at Sly Tetteh funeral

Kwasi Nyantakyi has led a high-powered delegation from the Confederation of African Football (Caf) to pay their respects at the final funeral rites of Alhaji Sly Tetteh.

Eminent of such personalities gracing the occasion held at the Karl Reindorf Park (home of Liberty Professionals) include; Gen Seyi Memene, Seedy Kinte and Augustine Senghore.

Also in attendance were Black Star player Derek Boateng, several Ghanaian coaches, numerous local football administrators and a special delegation consisting of old players of Nigeria led by the Governor of Lagos.

The national Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Shaributu sat through the event and offered prayers for the departed Liberty Professionals President.

Sly Tetteh who is renowned for his critical eyes for spotting young talents died on September 3 while playing in an exhibition ‘Oldies’ game in Cape Coast.
