Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng missed the opportunity of winning a double on his debut season for AC Milan last night when Palermo defeated them 2-1 in fiery Coppa Italia semi-final clash at the Renzo Barbera.

The host took the lead on the 63rd minute after an intense first half through Giulio Migliaccio and doubled it ten minutes from a Cesare Bovo's penalty.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic then pulled a goal back for the Scuddeto winners on the stroke of full time and lost 4-3 on aggregate.

Boateng however watched the entire action from substitute bench.

Palermo now face injury concerns over their Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah who limped off just after 34 minutes.
