Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Francis Akwaffo is hoping peace return to troubled Libya quickly so he can resume his footballing career.

Akwaffo, on a six month deal with Bengazi-based Al Tahadi, is back home due to the uprising in the North African country.

Football activities in the country have grinded to a halt following months of political instability prompting many players to flee the country.

But the former BA Stars enforcer is itching to play active football and wants calm to return to the troubled region.

"It's very frustrating because that’s our career and so when things of such nature happens, it’s very worrying and I’m hoping and praying peace returns soon so we can start playing again," Akwaffo told GHANAsoccernet.com ‘

"I have contract with the team and respect that but at the moment I have no choice but to be here and hope things work out sooner rather than later."
