Allegri: Morata just needs a goal for Juventus

Published on: 26 January 2016

Ahead of facing old-time rivals Inter in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri attempted to motivate Spanish striker Alvaro Morata to get back in form.

The former Real Madrid forward has only scored three goals in 27 appearances for the Old Lady this season; however, the clash against Inter could be Morata’s change to regain his form.

“Morata’s problem is not physical nor technical, it just depends on his will to sort his head out,” he stated. “He might start on Wednesday [against Inter], all he needs is a goal.

“[Juan] Cuadrado is also a possible starter, he has the ability to change a game with his pace.

“[Sami] Khedira will be resting, he played a tough match against Roma and he will be working to regain his match fitness for the next league game [against Chievo].”
