The Baba Yara Stadium has recorded almost a full house at kickoff time in the pre-season friendly between giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.

There was however a 15-minute delay to the start of proceedings for reasons not immediately known to GHANAsoccernet.com.

The over encouraging attendance makes a clear statement of the relevance of the two clubs in Ghana football though performances in recent years have dipped significantly.

Hosts, Asante Kotoko sporting their traditional all red attire will be defending the Asokwa end of the pitch in the first half while the visitors do same at the Amakom end.
