A group of irritated Hearts of Oak fans pulled up at the Local Black Stars camping base in Kumasi and demanded defender Nuru Suley and midfielder Moro Abubakar abandon the team's camp and return to Accra to rejoin Hearts after being dropped out of the Ghana squad.

Fans numbering about 15 packed a mini bus in front of the team's hotel prior to the team's victory over Burkina Faso on Monday afternoon and asked the players to pack bags and luggage and leave the camp but the players refused to leave.

The fans are angry with Maxwell Konadu's decision to leave out Hearts captain Moro Abubakar of his 18-man squad for the tournament while defender Nuru Suley only played in today's victory over Burkina Faso since the start of the competition.

"We were there and asked the players to leave the team's camp and return to Accra because the coach has clearly shown that he is being biased against Hearts players," an angry supporter told Oman FM.

"Moro has not even been dressing and we think this is ridiculous. To keep a player like Moro out of the team is funny and we think he should rather leave if they have decided to play politics with the team.

"Five Kotoko players started the first game and the second game was a similar number and not a single Hearts player since the start of the tournament? We think its preposterous."

Head coach Maxwell Konadu has come under criticism from local fans for dropping New Edubiase United playmaker Asiedu Attobrah from the squad with journalist Enock Walanyo claiming the exceptionally talented midfielder was left out of the team basically because he refused to join Kotoko.

Hearts fans made claims on social in October that Maxwell Konadu has told Moro Abubakar he will not be handed international call-ups until he joins Kotoko.
