Premier League side Arsenal are reportedly interested in making a move for Atalanta’s midfield starlet Franck Kessie.

The Ivorian defensive midfielder is currently plying his trade on-loan with Serie B side Cesena, although will return to his parent club to decide his future at the end of the season.

According to an exclusive revealed by Calciomercato.com, the 19-year-old is now a target for a host of top European clubs as a result of his performances, including English giants Arsenal.

The player’s agent even revealed to Calciomercato.com that the Gunners’ scouts have already been seen taking notes on the youngster several times this season, demonstrating their concrete interest in acquiring his services.

However, it is believed that Atalanta will not agree to any deal for a small fee, which means Arsenal’s coach, Arsene Wenger, will have to pay a lucrative fee if he is to hold any hopes of landing the player dubbed as ‘the next Yaya Toure’.

Kessie has started 29 matches with Cesena in the current Serie B campaign, scoring three goals.
