GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal that English giants Arsenal have written to Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko inviting promising left-back Baba Abdul Rahman for trial.

Manager Arsene Wenger wants to assess the Ghana Under-20 star for two weeks at their Bell Lane training centre situated at the outskirts of London.

Rahman caught the attention of Arsenal scouts during the Black Satellites tour of Italy in November last year.

The 17-year-old will leave Accra for the audition as at when he is granted a UK visa.

"We have been working on this since last year and the confirmation has come so I think the youngster will be excited," Fifa agent Oliver Arthur told GHANAsoccernet.com

"This will also calm Kotoko who were constantly receiving enquires about the player."

He added that: "This is a player I know he will become an asset to the nation in the future."

Rahman has been a key member of the Kotoko side who are atop of the league table with a nine point advantage.
