Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has showered praise on English born Ghanaian attacker Edward Nketiah after his remarkable performance against Bournemouth on Monday night.

The 20-year old forward scored in Arsenal's 2-1 win against the Cherries at the Vitality stadium to book a date with Portsmouth in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

"You look at him on the wing and three seconds later you look at the cross and he is there all the time in the middle of the goal," he said after the game.

"That's why he scored a goal. He is always in the middle of the goal, ready to do that and also the way he works without the ball is terrific," he added.

Nigerian youngster Bukayo Saka put the Gunners ahead in the 5th minute with a close range finish.

Nketiah extended the Londoners lead on the 26th minute before Sam Surrridge scored for the Cherries in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time.

The result seals a trip to Fratton Park against Portsmouth in the fifth round.
