Ghana star striker Asamoah Gyan proved his worth on Saturday when he scored his first goal in the UAE on Saturday in his second game in the country.

The world record loan signing celebrated his second game with a goal to help Al-Ain secure a 1-1 draw away at Emirates Club.

It is his first goal since joining Al-Ain on a world record loan deal from English side Sunderland three weeks ago.

It seemed at first that Gyan would get lost in the Al Ain team’s defensive play.

But with the two sides deadlocked at 0-0 the Ghana striker stepped up to convert a 27th minute penalty to hand his side the lead.

The home side rallied and drew level through their Guinean striker Alhassane Keita with just 11 minutes remaining.

Gyan proved that he’s worth every penny the billionaire Al Ain owner paid for him from Sunderland.

The striker is slowly being introduced to the game in the UAE so far to maximum effect as he was also instrumental in his first game last week.

The Ghana international was second half substitute on his debut in a 2-1 win over Dubai FC away.

The 25-year-old must click into gear before the start of the UAE League begins on 16 October.

Al Ain's opener will be against Al Nasr at home.

Gyan's good showing comes just two days before he joins the Black Stars camp inKenyaahead of the crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan next week.
