Asamoah Gyan to start against Platinum Stars

Ghana's Asamoah Gyan has been named in the starting line-up to play Platinum Stars in their final pre-Nations Cup friendly.

The Al Ain ace wants to test his match fitness after recovering from a hamstring injury he sustained three weeks ago.

Gyan was restored by Serbian traditional healer Mariajna Kovacevic at the team's camping base.

His return means make-shift winger Samuel Inkoom has been sacrificed and will start from the bench.

Head coach Goran Stevanovic has also picked Anthony Annan ahead of Derek Boateng.

Kick-off is at 16: 00 GMT.
