Asante Kotoko have confirmed they will not be travelling to Cameroon with Unity Air after making last minute changes to their trip.
The Porcupine Warriors were expected to leave the country on Wednesday on board Unity Air, which is owned by Executive Chairman of the club Dr. Kwame Kyei.
But information reaching GHANASoccernet indicates the team could not fly with the owner's commercial flight because of their inability to acquire the necessary clearance to travel outside the country with Unity Air.
"We will not be flying to Cameroon with Unity Air as was earlier planned. We will confirm our traveling arrangements soon," Asante Kotoko tweeted.
The Reds will now have to resort to alternative airlines to travel to Yaounde for the CAF Confederations Cup game against Coton Sports de Garoua on Sunday.
Asante Kotoko will face the Cameroonian champions in the first leg on Sunday in Yaounde with the second leg scheduled seven days later in Kumasi.
The record Ghana Premier League champions need to defeat Coton Sports in the two legged affair to qualify for the group stages of the competition.
