An unnamed French Ligue 2 side have tabled a bid for Asante Kotoko forward Sogne Yacouba, according to media reports.

The 26-year-old Burkinabe international joined the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year deal as a free player after parting ways with Stade Malien.

According to Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM, the French club has submitted a $300,000 for the services of the Rasta-haired forward, but the Porcupines are reluctant to negotiate as they view the player as a core part of their project.

"A club in France has shown interest in him [Sogne Yocouba] following his performance in the Ghana Premier League," a source from Oyerepa FM stated.

"We have sent the club's letter to the officials of Kotoko. They told us that we should give them time to weigh options,"

"Kotoko will be earning $300,000 from the deal" he ended.

He has scored two league goals in his three appearances for the Porcupine Warriors.
