Asante Kotoko return from Cameroon after big win over Coton Sport

Asante Kotoko have returned from Cameroon after their first leg victory over Coton Sports de Garoua in the CAF Confederations Cup play-offs.

The Porcupine Warriors touched down at the Kotoko International Airport on Tuesday afternoon and were greeted by a handful of their fans, who were at the airport to welcome their heroes.

The team immediately left Accra for Kumasi to begin preparations for the second leg in Kumasi on Sunday.

The Reds defeated the Cameroonian champions 3-2 at the Military stadium in Yaounde, handing them a huge advantage ahead of the second leg in Ghana.

Coach C.K Akunor and his side can't afford to let this advantage slip knowing they have to avoid a two goal deficit defeat.

Kotoko will be looking to advance to the group stage of the competition for the first time since 2008.

The Ghanaian giants were in the finals of the maiden edition of the CAF Confederations Cup where they lost to arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in 2004/05 season.
