Ashantigold defender Eric Donko is eager to play his former teammates at Asante Kotoko in a friendly on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.

The versatile defender joined the Miners from the Porcupine Warriors after seven seasons in Kumasi, where he won three premier league titles and two FA Cups.

The former vice captain of Kotoko signed a two year deal with the Obuasi based club and was a key member of the team in the first round of the season.

Donkor is returning to Kumasi for the first time since leaving Kotoko and he is eager to reunite with his former teammates.

He posted on Twitter,"See you guys tomorrow. Ashgold versus Kotoko. 3pm"

The two sides are playing each other in a friendly encounter following the crisis that has bedeviled Ghana Football.

The domestic top flight league has been indefinitely suspended following the revelations of the Anas Expose'.

Meanwhile, Kotoko will be buoyed by the back to back victory over rivals Hearts of Oak last week.
