Ashantigold defender Habib Mohammed has expressed excitement on making his national team debut.
The young defender made his first appearance in a national team jersey after playing for the Black Stars B in their defeat to Namibia on Sunday.
Mohammed paired in central defence with Hearts of Oak stalwart Benjamin Agyare, combining well to help the Black Stars B finish the game in a 1-1 draw but suffered a penalty shoot out defeat.
“I was so much delighted for my first national team call-up and on the day of the game coach Maxwell Konadu showed confidence in me and gave me a start,” he told Silver FM.
“I thanked coach Konadu very much for such trust."
“It is always like that. Nothing is better than representing your nation and I am very proud. But I want to continue developing like this.” he added.
