Aston Villa hero Dion Dublin: Players should apologise to fans

Published on: 26 November 2015

Aston Villa hero Dion Dublin has called on the players to apologise to supporters.

Dublin is shocked to see the club in the dropzone.

“The managers have got to take some responsibility for the results but I've got to say the players have got to stand up and be counted," Dublin told talkSPORT.

“I'd love to hear a couple of the players stand up in the media and say: 'We're to blame, we've been useless.'

“If I was there, or [Gareth] Southgate, [Paul] Merson, [David] Ginola, [George] Boateng, [Ian] Taylor, we'd all be saying: 'Listen we've been woeful, we apologise.' I haven't seen that yet.

"I'm so disappointed - more so for the fans than anybody else. They pay their money week in week out and get nothing in return."
