Andre Ayew's goal proved insufficient as Olympique Marseille slumped to yet another defeat to Paris Saint Germain on Sunday in the French Ligue 1.

The Ghana international's close rang header in the 60th minute canceled out a sixth minute Jeremy Menez goal for the hosts at the Parc des Princes.

Carlo Ancelotti's men however restored their lead within a minute through defender Alex to keep touch with leaders Montepellier.

The defeat means Marseille are now winless in nine games, a run which has seen them drop to an unfamiliar ninth position in the league.

Jordan Ayew came on as a substitute to replace Azpilicueta in the 90th minute.
