Ayew wants Marseille to focus on league after Champions League exit

Marseille winger Andre Ayew says they must turn their attention to retaining their French league title after crashing out of the Champions League.

Marseille were booted out of the Champions League on Tuesday when they were defeated 2-1 by Manchester United.

With the crucial match against Paris Saint-Germain this weekend in the league, Ayew wants his side to refocus on the league.

"We came here [to England] with a lot of desire, but an early goal in the first 10 minutes is hard to take," the son of legend Abedi Pele said.

"Even after we scored, we still had belief in ourselves.

"We wanted to do well, but everything went wrong for us. We had some opportunities going forward which scared them, but we could not do get the result we wanted.

"This is football. Now, we must forget this match and think about PSG, as it is a very important match. We want to win at all costs," he concluded.
