Baba Rahman’s position at Schalke 04 under threat as club eye Danny Rose swoop
Ghana defender Baba Rahman injured his knee at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 are looking to beef up their left-back position as they eye a swoop for Danny Rose in the ongoing transfer window.

The Royal Blues are handicapped at the left-back position after Bastian Oczipka was ruled out for the start of season.

Oczipka’s injury has left Baba Rahman as the only senior player at the position.

According to Skysports UK, the Glesheckirken-based side have identified Tottenham left-back Danny Rose as the player to fill the void left by the German U21 player.

The England international has faced an uncertain future since criticising the club's ambition and wage structure in 2017, for which he subsequently apologised.

Schalke will be hoping to tie up the deal as soon as possible, as the English Premier League transfer window shuts on Thursday.
