Sporting director of Bayern Munich Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed they are still interested in signing Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The German giants have made four bids for the 18-year-old, but Chelsea are hoping he will sign a new contract.

Maurizio Sarri has accused Bayern of tapping up Hudson-Odoi, and the club have reiterated their goals of signing the England U21 international.

"We want to sign the player," Salihamidzic told Sports Bild. "I am fully convinced of his abilities. We are in talks with Chelsea."

He added: "But we have many leaders in our team. That's why it would not be a problem if no player arrived in January. We have to find a good mix between young talents and experienced leaders who carry the team."
