Liverpool could gazump Bayern Munich and sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from right under their noses, according to reports in Germany.

The Bundesliga giants have been public in their admiration for the Chelsea winger with sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić admitting that the club are looking to sign the teenager this month.

Sport Bild, however, claim that the player’s representatives have been in discussions with Liverpool over a potential move – most likely at the end of the season.

Hudson-Odoi has already rejected a number of different contract offers from the Stamford Bridge side and looks determined to move away from west London in a bid to get more first team minutes.

It seems unlikely that would get the opportunities he craves at Anfield with Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino almost guaranteed to start most games.

Bild, though, insist that Hudson-Odoi has spoken to Liverpool and does consider them an option.

The Chelsea youth product has played just 61 Premier League minutes under Maurizio Sarri this season.
